Grand inauguration of Bhaichung Stadium at Namchi, Sikkim

‘Bhaichung Stadium’ Officially declared by Governor and CM of Sikkim at Namchi.The stadium officially inaugurated on Sunday, 31 Nov 2021.

“The stadium is a gift for the people of Namchi. I am extremely honoured that it has been named after me.” Said Bhaichung Bhutia.

He also added “This stadium will help development of football in the state of Sikkim”.

The opening ceremony of the stadium took place on the auspicious day of ‘Rashtriya Ekta Divas’ which was attended by Governor of Sikkim Shri Ganga Prasad as Chief Guest accompanied by Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang and host of other dignitaries. March Past and a colourful display of cultural performances commemorated the grand inauguration ceremony.
Sikkim is probably to get North-East’s First FIFA Approved Stadium.
