NEROCA FC vs Mohun Bagan
NEROCA faced Mohun Bagan at the Khuman Lampak Main Stadium. The home team opened the scoring through Eduardo Ferreira (24′). The first half ended 1-0 as the Mariners failed to make any impact on the game. Over an hour into the match in the second half, Henry Kisekka (63′) equalized for Bagan. However within a few minutes, NEROCA took the lead again through Aryn Williams (69′). This proved to be the winning goal as the score remained 2-1 in favor of the home team at the final whistle.
East Bengal vs Real Kashmir
East Bengal were up against this season’s surprise title challengers Real Kashmir. The match took place at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan. The first half of the match remained 0-0. Right at the onset of second half, East Bengal defender Lalramchullova [OG] (46′) conceded an unfortunate own goal to give Kashmir the lead. Within ten minutes, the Red and Gold Brigade bounced back strongly and equalized through Jobby Justin (56′). The final score remained 1-1 when the final whistle was blown.
Aizawl FC vs Gokulam FC
The match between Aizawl and Gokulam was held at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. After a goalless first half, the second half of the match witnessed a goals galore. The home team drew first blood with Ansumana Kromah (51′) and they doubled their lead through Lalkhawpuimawia (63′). Roccharzela (70′) made it 3-0 for Aizawl as the match seemed to be done and dusted. However Gokulam showed great spirit by scoring two goals in two minutes. Joel Sunday (90+3′) & (90+4′) scored a brace but it was too late. The match ended 3-2 in favor of Aizawl.
Chennai City vs Shillong Lajong
Chennai City welcomed Shillong Lajong at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The visitors were thumped as Chennai City won the match by 6-1. Goals from Nestor Gordillo (12′, 70′), Roberto Eslava (38′) and a brilliant hat-trick from Pedro Manzi (49′, 78′, 80′[P]) saw Chennai demolish Lajong. The only consolation goal for Lajong came through Samuel Lalmuanpuia (53′).
Indian Arrows vs Churchill Brothers
The Indian Arrows faced Goan Giants Churchill Brothers at the Kalinga Stadium. The away team turned out to be victorious with a scoreline of 1-0. The winner was scored by Churchill striker Willis Plaza (40′).
