NEROCA FC vs Shillong Lajong
NEROCA locked horns against Lajong at their home turf, Khuman Lampak Main Stadium. The match turned out to be an epic encounter as the home team managed to earn a victory with a scoreline of 3-2. Katsumi Yusa (8′) opened the scoring for NEROCA which was followed by a goal from striker Subhash Singh (21′). The first half ended 2-0. In the second half, Shillong got one back through Sheen Sohktung (54′) who put the ball in the net after missing a penalty. However within a minute, Aibanbha Dohling (55′) scored for the home side to make it 3-1. Lajong were given a new hope when Phrangki Buam (89′) scored right at the dying stages. Lajong failed to get an equalizer after that as it was too late and the final whistle was blown at 3-2.
Chennai City vs Gokulam FC
The match between Chennai City and Gokulam took place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Pedro Manzi (7′) opened the scoring for Chennai early into the game. Gokulam were quick to equalized through Musa Mudde (17′). Joel Sunday (38′) made it 2-1 for the away team just before the end of first half. Right at the beginning of the second half, Gokulam striker Arjun Jayaraj and Chennai City’s Sinivasan Pandiyan were shown direct red cards. With both teams down to 10 men, Chennai City equalized through Pedro Manzi (59′) at the hour mark. The same man completed his brilliant hat-trick at the 80th minute, which also turned out be the winner for Chennai. The final score of the game was 3-2.
Aizawl FC vs Indian Arrows
Aizawl welcomed Indian Arrows at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. The away team won the match with a scoreline of 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Rohit Dhanu (14′).
Churchill Brothers vs Minerva Punjab
Churchill Brothers faced Minerva Punjab at the Tilak Maidan Stadium. After a goalless first half, a brace from Anthony Wolfe (61′ & 84′ [P]) in the second sealed a 2-0 victory for Churchill.
Mohun Bagan vs Real Kashmir
Mohun Bagan were up against tough opponents of this season, Real Kashmir. The Mariners succumbed to a 1-2 defeat at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan. The away side opened proceedings through a goal from Mason Robertson (33′). Bagan equalized just before the closing of the first half through their Talisman Sony Norde (42′). In the second half, Mason Robertson (73′) completed his brace to make it 2-1. This turned out to be the final score at the end of the match.
Indian Arrows vs East Bengal
Indian Arrows welcomed Kolkata Giants East Bengal at the Kalinga Stadium. In a match where both teams saw a red card each with Lalramchullova (56′) from East Bengal and Aniket Jadhav (84′) from the home team, the visitors edged past with a 2-1 victory. Laldanmawia Ralte (26′) opened proceedings for East Bengal. The first-half remained 1-0. In the second half, Jobby Justin (64′) made it 2-0. Arrows got a consolation at the injury time through a penalty. Ninthoinganba Meetei (90′ [P]) was the goal scorer. The match ended 2-1 in favour of East Bengal.
