Churchill Brothers vs Gokulam FC

The match between Churchill Brothers and Gokulam FC took place at the Tilak Maidan. Churchill, who are serious contenders for this season’s title were only focused on earning 3 points from this match. However, the visitors struck early through Marcus Joseph (14′). Just few minutes away from the first-half whistle, Dawda Cassey (37′) equalized for Churchill. The second half was entirely dominated by Churchill. Willis Plaza (57′ & 90+1′) went on to score a brace for the home team. The final score was 3-1.

Aizawl FC vs Real Kashmir

Aizawl took on Real Kashmir at their home turf, Rajiv Gandhi Stadium. Real Kashmir, this season’s prodigy club needed  a victory to stay alive in the title race. However both the teams defended well and lack of goalscoring opportunities saw the match end 0-0.

Mohun Bagan vs NEROCA

Mohun Bagan faced NEROCA at the Yuba Bharati Stadium, in what has been a disappointing season for the Mariners. With a solitary goal from talisman Sony Norde (78′) at the dying embers of the match, the home team managed a 1-0 victory.

Shillong Lajong vs Indian Arrows

The match between Shillong Lajong and Indian Arrows was played at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The Arrows sealed a comfortable 3-0 victory over the home side, who are struggling at the bottom of the table with only 7 points from 14 games with a high chance of getting relegated.

Chennai City vs East Bengal

Table toppers Chennai City were up against East Bengal, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai. Laldanmawia Ralte (9′) opened the scoring for Bengal within 10 minutes of the game. The first half remained 1-0 in favour of the away side. Right at the beginning of the second, Pedro Manzi (48′) equalized for Chennai. Chennai scored the second goal, what proved to be the winner, through Alexander Romario Jesuraj (70′). After the final whistle, the score remained 2-1.
