Indian legend Surajit Sengupta passed away

Surajit Sengupta, one of the best wingers ever of Indian football, breathed his last today morning.
He played for Mohun Bagan in 5 seasons (1972-73, 1981-83). Donning the green and maroon jersey, Surajit Sengupta’s best season was certainly 1981-82 with the 1982 Rovers Cup being his best tournament. Perhaps, his best 3 games donning the green and maroon jersey were 1981 IFA Shield semi final, 1981 Federation Cup final and 1983 Peerless Trophy semi final (2-0 vs East Bengal).
