Meeting at IFA on CFL 2022

The preparation phase of the Calcutta League has started. On Monday, the IFA secretary sat down for a meeting with the clubs of the fourth division, fifth division group A and group B. Under-16s in Group B, under-17s in Group A and under-18s in the Fourth Division can play football. Grant money and prize money have been increased in all these divisions this year.
In the case of Fifth Division Group A and Group B, the grant has been increased from Rs. 5200 to Rs. 10,400. The prize money has been increased from 20000 and 15000 instead of 5000 and 3000 in case of group B, 30000 and 20000 instead of 10000 and 5000 in case of group A. 40000 and 25000 instead of 12000 and 7000 in case of 4th division.
It has been made mandatory to have D license coaches in each of these divisions. The Group B match of the 5th Division will probably start on 25th May, the Group A match will start on 26th May and the 4th Division match will probably start on 28th May.
The IFA secretary met with representatives of the clubs of the second and third divisions on Tuesday in the run-up to the Kolkata League. As the league is age based this year, under 19 players will be able to play in the third division and under 20 players will be able to play in the second division. Grants to clubs have been increased. In case of Third Division the amount has been increased from 7800 to 15600, in case of Second Division the amount of grant has been increased from 10400 rupees to 20800 rupees.
In the case of the Second Division, the prize money has been increased from Rs 17,000 to Rs 60,000 for Champion and from Rs 12,000 to Rs 40,000 for Runners. Tiffin grants have also been increased for the two divisions. The second division game is likely to start on 2nd June and the third division game is likely to start on 30th May. It has been made mandatory to have C licensed coaches in both the divisions.
