– Archan Mitter | 28 Nov 2021

Real Kashmir got off to a good start in the opening fixture but as we all know, this is football. Things change very quickly in this beautiful game. They were quite confident before the kickoff as they have really dominated in the last game against Indian Arrows. Calcutta customs on the other hand are coming back after playing CFL. They were aware of the fact that this game won’t be a cup of tea for them but they have shown good attitude on the field, tried to maintain the ball possession and go for goals. Guess what they opened their scoring in the (45+2′) minutes. Thanks to Rabi Hansda. He put his team in front. Real Kashmir had to make a good comeback in the second half. Experienced Spanish midfielder Fran Gonzalez who was on the score sheet on the other day failed to make an impact on match day 2. The referee had a tough game as he had to book 4 players from both the teams for their offense. Kallon from Customs was booked in the (40+6′)minute, Soubik Bal in (62′) minutes. Sourav Dasgupta(85′) (Customs) and Mason(85′) (Real Kashmir) had to see a yellow card for their offense. The match ended as Calcutta customs won the game by 1-0. They would be really happy as they have made a very good start in this edition’s IFA Shield. The fans would be delighted. But now they should move on and focus on their upcoming game.
